Pittsburgh, Pa. - Robert Morris University men's ice hockey plays its first game of 2018 on the road at Niagara University on Tuesday night. The Colonials (8-12-1, 7-7-1 AHC) have 15 points and are tied for fifth place in the Atlantic Hockey standings, while the Purple Eagles (10-9-2, 9-4-2 AHC) are tied for first place with 20 points.

DECEMBER DOMINANCE
Brady Ferguson scored 13 points in 6 games played in the month of December, leading both Atlantic Hockey and the NCAA in scoring. Ferguson was named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Month and was an honorable mention National Player of the Month by the Hockey Commissioner's Association.
FERGALICIOUS FACTS
Brady Ferguson raced into the RMU scoring lead with a 7-point weekend against Mercyhurst (Dec. 16-17). The senior posted two goals and five assists and was named the NCAA's #1 Star of the Week for his performance. Ferguson now leads the Colonials with 27 points after adding a goal and three assists to his total at the Three Rivers Classic.

Luke Lynch has been lighting the lamp to the tune of 12 goals in 21 games and is RMU's goals leader.

Ferguson is third all-time in scoring at RMU with 145 career points, surpassing Chris Margott '09 and Nathan Longpre '11. The senior from Carrollton, Texas is just 5 points back of tying Cody Wydo '15 for second (150 points). Zac Lynch '16 is the all-time scoring leader (156 points).

Freshman
Nick Jenny is becoming a reliable member of the Colonials defensive corps and has chipped in on the offensive end as well. Jenny tallied his first NCAA goal in the opening game of the Three Rivers Classic and has 3 points in his first 7 games played (1-2-3). Jenny entered the lineup for the first time on Nov. 25 at Bentley and hasn't missed a game since, registering a plus-four rating, on the ice for just three goals against, out of the 25 scored against RMU in that seven-game span.

Brady Ferguson leads the Colonials in power play scoring with 11 of his points coming on the man advantage. The senior forward has 5 goals and 6 assists on the power play (11G-16A-27P overall). RMU's 22 power play goals are tied for the league lead, along with Mercyhurst.
