RMU fell behind in the first half, 28-20, before charging back to take the lead at halftime, 38-36, en route to an 81-72 victory to close out play in the 2018 National College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic. RMU finished with a record of 2-2 (.500) in the tournament.

Josh Williams, in his first home game in an RMU uniform, established single-game records for points (49), three-point field goals (15) and three-point field goal attempts (25). He also tied the Robert Morris single-game record for field goals (16) and field goal attempts (26).

Josh Williams also tied an NCAA single-game record with 15 three-pointers in the win over the Mounties. The record was originally established Dec. 14, 1996, when Keith Veney of Marshall also went 15-for-25 from beyond the arc en route to a 51-point performance in a 115-93 win over Morehead State.

Forward Power - Senior forward
Malik Petteway paced the Colonials during their four games in the 2018 National Basketball Hall of Fame Classic, averaging 13.5 points while shooting 73.3 percent (22-for-30) from the field and 90.9 percent (10-for-11) at the free-throw line. Petteway enters Friday's game @ Purdue ranked second in the Northeast Conference in field goal percentage (.706) and fifth in free-throw percentage (.882).

The Senior - Matty McConnell enters Friday's game @ Purdue as RMU's active leader in games played (99), starts (90), points (819), assists (230) and steals (189). He will become the 47th player in RMU's NCAA Division I history to appear in 100 games Friday against the Boilermakers and will move into sole possession of 11th place all-time for career starts with his 91st. Over the last two seasons, Robert Morris owns a record of 15-5 (.750) when McConnell finishes in double figures scoring after contributing 12 points in an 81-72 victory @ Stetson (11/19/18).

Andrew Toole, Robert Morris has compiled a record of 92-35 (.724) when scoring at least 70 points in a game. Included in that record is a mark of 36-5 (.878) when eclipsing the 80-point plateau.

A Good Combo - The three-point arc has developed into an area of interest again for Robert Morris in 2018-19. On the offensive side, the Colonials knocked down 10 three-pointers in an 81-72 victory @ Stetson (11/19/18), improving to 43-12 (.782) in nine seasons under head coach

The Leader - RMU head coach
Andrew Toole picked up career victory No. 150 thanks to a 60-56 win @ Mount St. Mary's (2/28/18) in the quarterfinals of the 2018 Northeast Conference Tournament. Toole is in his ninth season at the helm leading the Colonials in 2018-19 and has posted an overall record of 153-125 (.550), including a mark of 91-51 (.641) against league foes. Toole is just five victories shy of becoming the all-time leader for coaching wins at Robert Morris. Former head coach Jarrett Durham posted an overall record of 157-183 (.462) from 1984 to 1996.
