Amir Fenwick and
Adam Wollet were named to the Northeast Conference Football Preseason All-Conference Team as announced by the league at its annual Social Media Day at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The Colonials, now under direction of first-year head coach
Bernard Clark Jr., were picked seventh in the Preseason Coaches Poll.
Wollet was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Second Team last season. He led the NEC and was 17th in FCS at the end of the regular season with 108 tackles, an average of 9.8 per game. The total places him sixth all-time at Robert Morris as he became the first Colonials player to record triple-digit stops since
Mike Cook had a school-record 117 tackles in 2013. The junior linebacker recorded at least 10 stops in seven of the team's 11 games this season, including a career-best 16 tackles against Sacred Heart. Wollet recorded five tackles for loss and broke up three passes as well.
After three seasons, Wollet is 20th at Robert Morris with 203 career tackles, averaging 6.2 in 33 career games. He ranks 12th with 124 assisted stops and has collected 79 solo tackles.
Fenwick started all 11 games for the Colonials at defensive tackle. The junior came on strong in NEC play as he picked up 23 of his 35 tackles against league opponents. He finished the year with six tackles for loss, 4.5 of which came in NEC contests. He had 14 tackles in the final three games of the season, including a career-best seven solo stops at Wagner. Fenwick added two tackles for loss in that game before capping his season with five tackles, one for loss, at Central Connecticut.

Jimmy Walker returns for his senior season after throwing for nearly 1,700 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior. Wollet and Fenwick highlight the Colonials defense.
Defending league champion Central Connecticut was picked to defend their title after posting a 6-0 mark in the NEC last season. Duquesne was selected second and Bryant received two first-place votes and were third in the poll. Saint Francis U is fourth followed by Wagner, Sacred Heart and RMU.
The Colonials open the season on Saturday, September 1, with a 1:00 p.m. game at Dayton. The home slate begins a week later when Virginia State visits Joe Walton Stadium for a Noon kickoff.
