Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU football team announced it has signed 14 student-athletes as part of the early signing period, including 12 that have signed National Letters of Intent (NLI).
Included among the group of signees for the Colonials are eight that play defense and six on offense. The defensive recruits include four in the defensive backfield, three on the defensive line and one linebacker. On offense, RMU signed three offensive linemen and a quarterback, running back and wide receiver.
"It's been an interesting recruiting cycle given the global pandemic, but we're excited to welcome the latest class of Colonials," RMU Head Coach
Bernard Clark, Jr., said. "Our staff did a great job of identifying and recruiting student-athletes on both sides of the ball that have the opportunity to leave an impact on this program. It's a balanced class, and one that I know my staff and I can't wait to coach."

Led by Clark, RMU finished with an overall record of 7-5 (.583) in 2019, including a mark of 6-1 (.857) in the Northeast Conference (NEC). The Colonials won seven of their final nine games, which helped Clark earn
2019 NEC Co-Coach of the Year honors.
RMU announced its
2021 spring schedule in November, which begins Saturday, Feb. 27, with a non-conference road game at James Madison. The Colonials will also play four games in their first season as an
associate member in the Big South, which includes home tilts against Monmouth (3/13) and Gardner-Webb (4/10).
