The All-Time Series (Green Bay) –
The Colonials and Phoenix are meeting for the first time on the hardwood Thursday. Green Bay is one of five opponents on RMU's 2021-22 schedule the Colonials are facing for the first time this season, joining UCF, Davidson, Lancaster Bible and IUPUI.

Davidson Notes –
The meeting between the Wildcats and Colonials marked the first in the all-time series between the two programs ... RMU converted 48.2 percent (27-for-56) of its shots, set a season high with 15 assists and also matched a season best with seven three-pointers ... Davidson knocked down 66.7 percent (20-for-30) of its shots in the second half against the Colonials an overall converted at a 55.6 percent (35-for-63) clip ... The Wildcats owned a 36-26 advantage on the glass, including a 7-3 edge in offensive rebounds.

Break On Through –
RMU has been familiar with playing on the road during the early portion of the 2021-22 season, as the Colonials have played four of their first five away from home. It's the middle of a stretch in which RMU plays six of its first seven and 10 of its first 13 away from the UPMC Events Center. The Colonials do, however, seem to be getting comfortable playing on the road. Entering its #HLMBB opener Thursday against Green Bay, RMU has shot 48.6 percent (54-for-111) from the floor in its last two road games.

Rondo – Senior forward Jaron Williams has settled into the rotation for RMU nicely and is arguably one of the hottest members of the Colonials entering Thursday's gme @ Green Bay. In the last three games, Williams is producing averages of 13.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game while shooting 66.7 percent (18-for-27) from the field, including 50 percent (5-for-10) from beyond the arc. Included in that span is a season-high 19 points off the bench @ Ohio (11/15/21), a game in which he converted eight of his 11 shots from the floor, including 3-for-6 from deep.

Welcome Back – RMU got a boost @ Davidson (11/27/21), as sophomore guard Kam Farris made his 2021-22 season debut against the Wildcats. Off the bench, the sharpshooter contributed 11 points and three assists, knocking down three of his five attempts from deep. In 18 career games at RMU, Farris owns 38 three-pointers, an average of 2.11 per contest.

Steady –
Kahliel Spear has opened the 2021-22 season with consistent play from the forward spot, as he has reached double figures in scoring in each of RMU's first five games of the year, including tying a career high with 22 points @ Ohio (11/15/21). Spear just missed his second consecutive double-double @ Davidson (11/27/21) by finishing with 15 points and nine boards and dating back to last season has scored in double figures in seven consecutive games. During that span, Spear is averaging 14.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks while shooting 47.6 percent (41-for-86) from the floor. In an RMU uniform, Spear owns 29 blocks in 23 games, an average of 1.28 per contest.

Call To The Hall – Former forward Lucky Jones (2011-15) will be enshrined in the RMU Athletic Hall of Fame Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, at a dinner in the conference center of the UPMC Events Center. Jones, a native of Newark, N.J., is one of six former student-athletes that make up the Class of 2021, the 30th class to be inducted into the RMU Athletic Hall of Fame. One of the most successful student-athletes in program history, Jones helped lead the Colonials to a postseason tournament in each of his four years at RMU. He helped lead the Colonials to a pair of wins in the 2012 CollegeInisder.com Postseason Tournament (CIT), victories over Kentucky (2013) and St. John's (2014) in the NIT and a triumph over North Florida in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. Jones concluded his career as the program's all-time leading rebounder with 846 career boards while finishing with 1,642 points.
