The All-Time Series (Bowling Green) – RMU and Bowling Green meet for the third time Sunday, with the all-time series between the two programs tied, 1-1 (.500). The Colonials won the first-ever meeting between the two programs in 2012 at the Charles L. Sewall Center before falling last season to the Falcons at the UPMC Events Center.

FGCU Notes – The all-time series between the Eagles and Colonials is now tied, 1-1 (.500) ... The contest at the UPMC Events Center completed a home-and-home series between the two programs that began during the 2019-20 season ... Tavian Dunn-Martin is the only student-athlete since 2010-11 to compile at least 30 points, 10 assists and nine three-pointers in a game, finishing with game-high totals in scoring (31), assists (12) and triples (9) ... Florida Gulf Coast owned a 40-26 edge in rebounding, including a 13-5 advantage on the offensive glass.

Castles Made of Sand – Senior forward
Kahliel Spear paced the Colonials against Florida Gulf Coast (12/11/21) by recording his second consecutive double-double, third of the 2021-22 campaign and fourth overall in two seasons at RMU by notching 20 points and 11 rebounds. Spear is coming off a two-game homestand in which he averaged 18.5 points and 10.5 rebounds while shooting a solar 78.9 percent (15-for-19) from the floor. RMU's active leader for consecutive games played (27) and starting assignments (13), Spear enters Sunday's game against Bowling Green ranked sixth in the Horizon League in field goal percentage at 49 percent (47-for-96).

Protect The Rock – RMU has done a solid job in the opening portions of the 2021-22 season of protecting the basketball, as the Colonials have posted an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.01, which ranks fifth in the Horizon League. Leading the way has been fifth-year guard
Rasheem Dunn, who ranks sixth in the circuit in assists with an average of 4.33 per game while ranking 11th in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.34). Over the last four games, Dunn is averaging 16.0 points and 6.8 dimes a contest.

Downtown – Sophomore guard
Kam Farris helped the Colonials garner their first win of the 2021-22 season with a 99-51 victory over Lancaster Bible (12/8/21) by pacing RMU with a career-high 27 points. Farris shot 10-for-13 from the floor, including 7-for-10 from beyond the arc. Thanks to the performance against the Chargers, Farris pushed his career total in triples to 50. He enters Sunday's game @ Bowling Green with 51 three-pointers in 22 career games at RMU, an average of 2.32 per game, while converting at a 49.5 percent (51-for-103) clip from deep. The only member of the Colonials to reach 50 three-pointers faster was former guard
Josh Williams (2018-20), who reached the plateau in just 13 contests. Meanwhile, former guard Karvel Anderson (2012-14) also reached 50 trifectas in 21 games.

Dunk You Very Much – Senior forward
Kahliel Spear is as active as any member of the Colonials in recent years at the rim, and you just have to look at the numbers. In addition to ranking fourth in the Horizon League entering Saturday's game against Florida Gulf Coast with an average of 1.22 blocks per game, Spear is RMU's leader on the other end of the court in dunks. In nine games, Spear has provided 14 jams, already surpassing his season total in 18 games last season. Spear has played 27 games at RMU and in that span owns 27 dunks.Â

The Colonials knocked down a season-high 12 triples in a 99-51 win over Lancaster Bible (12/8/21) and are 1-1 (.500) this season when connecting for at least 10 three-pointers. RMU leads the Horizon League in three-point field goal percentage (.387) entering Sunday's game @ Bowling Green while ranking sixth in three-point field goals made per game (7.44).
