Moon Township, Pa. – RMU head golf coach Jerry Stone announced Tuesday the Colonials have signed Peter Stassinopoulos to a National Letter of Intent (NLI).

"Peter comes from a high school in Detroit Catholic Central that has a great tradition," Stone said. "One of the best in RMU golf history also went there in Max Palmer. Peter has the chance to step in as a freshman and make a difference as well as supply us with great depth. We're looking forward to Peter putting on the red, white and blue next year."

Stassinopoulos, a native of Novi, Mich., owns a career scoring average of 74.0 during his time at Detroit Catholic Central and has claimed one individual championship thus far during his prep career. He also won the individual championship at the Golf Association of Michigan qualifier, carding a 66.
