Michael Akuchie established a UPMC Events Center record with 24 rebounds in the finale of the two-game series, becoming the second student-athlete to grab at least 20 rebounds in a game during the first two years of the facility ... The only student-athlete to average a double-double in a season at RMU came in the program's first year as an NCAA Division I program in 1976-77, when Earl "The Twirl" Cureton posted per game averages of 17.2 points and 10.5 rebounds.

Did You Know?
Senior forward AJ Bramah is one of 10 student-athletes in program history to have compiled at least 10 double-doubles in a career. Thanks to a pair in a two-game set against Youngstown State, Bramah is one double-double shy of becoming the sixth player in program history with 15 career double-doubles.

Protecting The Rock -
Senior guard Jon Williams has been outstanding protecting the ball in 2020-21, evidenced by his assist-to-turnover ratio of 4.71, which leads the Horizon League and ranks second in NCAA Division I. Thanks to his strong season, Williams owns a career assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.95, which ranks second all-time at RMU. The career school mark in the category is held by former guard Wade Timmerson (1988-92) at 2.02. Williams enters this weekend's two-game set with Oakland ranked seventh all-time for the Colonials in assists with 467 and is on pace to finish the 2020-21 regular season with 487 dimes.

Start Me Up -
While senior guard Jon Williams has cracked the top 10 for career assists at RMU, he also is climbing the charts in other categories. One of just six student-athletes in program history to earn at least 100 starting assignments, Williams moved into third place all-time for career starts with 115. The all-time career leader for starts for RMU is former guard Velton Jones (2008-13) with 125, and ranking second is former guard Jeremy Chappell (2005-09) with 120.

The Anatomy Of Overtime -
RMU has been to overtime 18 times under head coach Andrew Toole in his 11 years leading the Colonials. Under Toole, RMU owns a mark of 9-9 (.500) in overtime, including a mark of 6-3 (.667) at home. The Colonials are 0-4 in the extra frame in 2020-21, and all-time in program history RMU has posted a record of 31-31 (.500) in overtime contests.

More Overtime Nuggets -

The 1988-89 Colonials posted a record of 2-3 (.400) in overtime but earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, while the 1999-00 Colonials posted a record of 4-1 (.800) and appeared in the 2000 NEC Tournament title game ... RMU's average margin of defeat in its four overtime games in 2020-21 is 4.8 points ... The Colonials have played in overtime in consecutive games a total of five times in program history after going to the extra frame twice against Youngstown State.

The Rattler - Don't blink or you might miss one. Senior forward AJ Bramah is arguably the most accomplished dunker in program history in his year plus with the Colonials. In his 12 games of the 2020-21 season, Bramah owns 21 throw downs on the year and has pushed his career total in dunks to 62, an average of 1.75 slams per contest. Dating to the 2019-20 season, Bramah has scored in double figures in 17 consecutive games, 40 of his last 41 contests and 41 times in 45 career games at RMU. Over his last 17 games dating back to the 2019-20 campaign, Bramah is averaging 19.2 points and 9.4 rebounds per contest.

In The Clutch -
You certainly could say that the Colonials have a flair for the dramatic. In a two-game  home set with Youngstown State at the UPMC Events Center to open its February schedule, RMU forced overtime in both games by hitting a key basket with under 15 seconds in regulation. Senior guard Jon Williams drilled a three-pointer to tie the game, 71-71, as time expired in the second half in the opener. The next night, junior guard Cameron Wilbon hit a floater with 1.1 seconds remaining to knot the score, 58-58. The pair join the list of Colonials to convert a field goal or a free throw in the final 15 seconds to give RMU a victory or send the game to overtime. A closer look at the last 10 ...
