Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University men's lacrosse team has announced changes to its 2021 schedule, as it will now open the home portion of the season on Tuesday, March 2 at 1:00 p.m. against Bellarmine.
RMU was originally to host Bellarmine on Tuesday, Feb. 23 for its home opener before the Knights paused team activities for two weeks. The Colonials also rescheduled their away contest at Bucknell, as the two teams will now clash on Saturday, April 17.
RMU and Bellarmine have played 14 times in their histories, with the Knights owning an 8-6 advantage in the all-time series. The Colonials won the most recent matchup on Feb. 23, 2019 at Joe Walton Stadium, 15-7, thanks to a 9-0 blanking in the second half.
Before Bellarmine however, RMU's season-opening road swing concludes on Saturday, Feb. 27 at Notre Dame. Opening faceoff is set for 4:00 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast live on the ACC Network.
