Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University men's lacrosse team has announced an addition to its 2021 schedule as it will face Syracuse on the road on Friday, May 7. The game will feature a 4:00 p.m. opening faceoff.
This will be the first meeting between RMU and Syracuse in their histories. The Orange mark the fourth different Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) opponent for the Colonials this season, as they previously have played Duke (Feb. 7), Notre Dame (Feb. 27), and Virginia (March 20). The clash also will be RMU's 11th away from Moon Township and 10th true road contest in the 2021 regular season.

Syracuse is 6-4 overall and 2-3 in the ACC, winning both of its matchups with Virginia (20-10, 13-11). The Orange also own victories over Vermont (17-13), Stony Brook (17-9), Holy Cross (15-6), and Albany (13-8), and are ranked No. 8 in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll and No. 9 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Coaches' Poll.
The Colonials currently sit at 6-5 overall and are riding a three-game winning streak with triumphs over Jacksonville (16-15), Cleveland State (15-7), and Bucknell (8-7). RMU, who is receiving votes in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll, returns to action on Saturday, May 1 at Utah. Opening faceoff is set for 1:00 p.m. (ET), 11:00 a.m. (MT) from Salt Lake City.
