Moon Township, Pa. – A pair of RMU hockey student-athletes were named to the 2020-21 At-Large Academic All-District 2 Team Thursday according to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), as seniors
Emilie Harley and
Lexi Templeman each garnered the plaudit.
Harley and Templeman will now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot for national recognition. Honorees will be announced in August. CoSIDA's District 2 includes student-athletes from institutions in the states of Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia as well as the District of Columbia.
Both Harley and Templeman compiled perfect a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average (GPA), with Harley earning a biology degree and Templeman earning an accounting degree. It marks the second consecutive District 2 honor for Templeman, who also claimed the distinction in 2020.

Templeman, named to the 2021 All-College Hockey America (CHA) First Team, paced the Colonials in scoring during the 2020-21 campaign with 30 points thanks to seven goals and a team-high 23 assists. She also recorded a plus/minus of +15 to lead an RMU squad that finished with an overall record of 16-8-1 (.660) and a spot in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
During her career, Templeman, a native of Staffa, Ontario, appeared in 130 games, racking up 127 points on 34 goals and 93 assists. One of six student-athletes in program history to eclipse 100 career points, Templeman ranks fourth all-time.

Harley, a native of Syracuse, N.Y., joined Templeman in playing all 25 games for RMU in 2020-21, finishing with 15 points out of her defensive position thanks to a goal and 14 helpers. Harley also appeared in 130 career contests for the Colonials, scoring 46 points on 10 goals and 36 assists.
The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. A total of 70 RMU student-athletes have been named to CoSIDA District 2 Academic All-America® Teams since 1992, including 28 that were honored in consecutive years and seven that were bestowed the plaudit three straight years.
