Moon Township, Pa. – Former RMU attack Trevor Moore (2008-11) was named to the Northeast Conference (NEC) Men's Lacrosse Mount Rushmore, as announced by the league on its social media platforms Thursday afternoon.
In celebration of its 40th season as a NCAA Division I conference, the NEC is paying tribute to its heritage with seasonal announcements of its Mount Rushmore award winners. Each Mount Rushmore honors four student-athletes from a sport on a hypothetical mountain. Student-athletes were selected by a conference panel based on their individual accomplishments both on the conference and national levels while they played in the NEC.
Moore, a product of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, is one of two players to win multiple NEC Player of the Year awards, capturing the league's first two consecutively in 2010 and 2011. He is the program's only two-time United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American, collecting honorable mention plaudits in those aforementioned seasons, and twice headlined the All-NEC First Team as the Colonials won a total of 19 games across the two years.
A cornerstone during RMU's breakout seasons as a program, Moore owns the school career records in goals per game (2.20) and points per game (3.20), and slots second in total goals (134) and total points (195). He is one of three players in program history to score 50 or more goals in a season, meeting that mark as a senior in 2011 to lead the nation. The Canadian attack posted consecutive campaigns of 60 points or more to end his career, compiling 60 (35g, 25a) in 2010 before contributing 61 (50g, 11a) the next year.
Following graduation, Moore was selected in the fourth round (34th overall) of the 2011 National Lacrosse League (NLL) Entry Draft by the Washington Stealth. He also was picked by the Chesapeake Bayhawks in the 10th round (77th overall) of the 2012 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Supplemental Draft.
Moore was joined on NEC Mount Rushmore by Bryant's Kevin Massa (2012-15) and Gunnar Waldt (2013-16) and Sacred Heart's Max Tuttle (2016-19).
