Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU rowing team concluded its 2022 fall campaign Saturday by traveling to Philadelphia, Pa., and competing in the Head of the Schuylkill.
VARSITY EIGHT
The Colonials entered a pair of Varsity 8 boats as part of the Head of the Schuylkill, with the top boat finishing 15th out of 46 entrants and the Second Varsity 8 finishing 40th. The Colonials recorded times of 13:50.930 and 14:59.569, respectively. Freshman
Brianna Gfroerer served as the coxswain of the Varsity 8, while sophomore
Ajah Edwards directed the Second Varsity 8.
QUOTABLE
"I'm really pleased with the results and how much improvement we've made this fall, especially in the last two weeks," RMU head coach
Robert Weber said. "I think our kids are starting to see the results of their hard work and what they could achieve in the spring. It will be fun to watch the development over the winter."
NOVICE FOUR
RMU also competed in novice action at the Head of the Schuylkill, recording a time of 18:40.107 to finish 19th. The boat saw freshman
Aubrey Dudek serve as coxswain.
