Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU Department of Athletics announced Tuesday that it has agreed to a 10-year corporate sponsorship with
Chick-fil-A Robinson. Thanks to the partnership, Chick-fil-A Robinson is a Corporate Champion level sponsor of the Colonials.
"We're thrilled to partner with Chick-fil-A Robinson for the next 10 years," RMU Vice President and Director of Athletics
Chris King '94 said. "Aimee Hernandez and Jon Galante are wonderful owners and operators and have had such a positive impact on our community for the past six years. They treat their guests and staff like family, and I'm proud to count them as caring and important members of our RMU Athletics family. Our fans always look forward to their creative and engaging in-game promotions with the chance to win delicious Chick-fil-A sandwiches and meals at our games."
As part of the partnership, Chick-fil-A Robinson will sell items at football and men's basketball games, will have signage throughout RMU's various athletic venues and will offer a wide range of promotions.
"Chick-fil-A Robinson and Robert Morris University have the same shared vision to positively impact our local community," said Chick-fil-A Robinson franchise owner
Aimee Hernandez. "RMU Athletics has created a fun and friendly atmosphere that always engages my family when we attend events. Chick-fil-A Robinson values caring for our guests and employees like RMU cares for its students and staff. We can't wait to see how our local community grows over the next decade, and it truly is our pleasure to partner alongside RMU on this adventure."
Chick-fil-A Robinson is in its second year as the official sponsor of the
RMU Male and Female Student-Athlete of the Week at the official website of RMU Athletics, RMUColonials.com. The weekly honors are handed out each Wednesday to a deserving member of the Colonials who excelled in competition the week prior. Chick-fil-A Robinson was also the title sponsor of RMU's annual home volleyball tournament in September.
In the latest promotional giveaway sponsored by Chick-fil-A Robinson, the first
1,000 fans that attend the men's basketball game Wednesday, Feb. 9, against Detroit Mercy at the UPMC Events Center will receive a slam banner. Tip time is 7:00 p.m.
