Moon Township, Pa. – Former forward Brady Ferguson (2014-18) of the RMU men's hockey team has been named as part of the inaugural class of the Atlantic Hockey Hall of Honor, the league announced Tuesday.

In honor of its 20th season, the Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) is recognizing the top 20 players from the conference's first 20 seasons as members of the first class of inductees into the Atlantic Hockey Hall of Honor. The AHA is announcing one inductee weekly throughout the 2022-23 season, with the final former student-athlete being recognized the week of Feb. 19, 2023.

Players from current and former Atlantic Hockey programs were eligible for consideration, with the 20 honorees selected based on their on-ice performance during their respective careers. Ferguson is the 16th player to be named to the Atlantic Hockey Hall of Honor so far during the 2022-23 season as well as the third member of the Colonials, joining former forwards Zac Lynch (2012-16) and Cody Wydo (2011-15), who were honored in consecutive weeks last fall.

Ferguson, a native of Carrollton, Texas, appeared in 152 games during his four years with the Colonials, which is tied for second all-time in school history. RMU compiled an overall record of 88-51-16 (.619) during Ferguson's career, including a mark of 64-34-14 (.633) in Atlantic Hockey. Ferguson helped guide the Colonials to the 2015 Atlantic Hockey regular-season championship, the first in program history.

A nominee for the Hobey Baker Award as a senior in 2017-18, Ferguson concluded his career as the program's all-time leading scorer with 167 points thanks to 66 goals and 101 assists. That point total tied the Atlantic Hockey record that was originally established by Brett Gensler (2010-14) of Bentley. In addition to owning the program record for career helpers (101), Ferguson ranks third in the category in the Atlantic Hockey record book.

As a freshman with the Colonials in 2014-15, Ferguson was part of a lineup that included Lynch and Wydo and contributed 11 goals and 15 assists, which helped him earn a spot on the 2015 Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie Team.

In arguably one of the finest performances in program history, Ferguson established the single-game record for points with six, recording a hat trick and notching three assists in a 6-5 win over RIT (10/8/16). That performance served as a harbinger of things to come for Ferguson, who went on to set an RMU single-season record for points with 58 during his junior season in 2016-17. He finished the year with 24 goals and 34 assists and also led the Colonials in plus/minus (+15) and game-winning goals (5).

In addition to his rookie honor in 2014-15, Ferguson is a two-time All-Atlantic Hockey First Team honoree (2016, 2017) and established the league record for points on the power play with 30 during the 2016-17 campaign thanks to nine goals and 21 assists. That point total with the man advantage now ranks second in the AHA single-season annals.

Ferguson attended the Toronto Maple Leafs preseason training camp in 2018 and spent three years with the Toronto Marlies of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) at the conclusion of his career at RMU. He currently is in his third season with Rögle BK in the Swedish Hockey League.
