Opening Kick-Off
  • The Robert Morris University women's soccer team continues Horizon League play as they head out on the road to face Cleveland State on Thursday, October 12 at 7:00 p.m.
  • In their last game, the Colonials walked away with a 1-1 tie at Oakland (10/5). Sophomore Renae Mohrbacher scored her seventh goal of the season in the game.
  • Previously, at home, the Colonials beat Detroit Mercy (9/30), 2-1 at the North Athletic Complex. Graduate student Kaoru Hayashi registered the game-winning goal in the 55th minute from distance.
  • 10 minutes into the match, Renae Mohrbacher assisted Taylor Day in front of the net to take an early 1-0 lead.
  • Against the Titans, graduate goalkeeper Brenna Murray was vital in the win. She posted a season-high eight saves.
  • Currently, RMU is ranked third in the Horizon League conference.

The All-Time Series (Cleveland State) – Thursday night's meeting will be the 10th meeting in history between these two programs. RMU won the first meeting back in 2006, 2-0. Recently, this past season, RMU fell at home to Cleveland State, 1-2. Haleigh Finale scored the one goal in the 30th minute from the penalty kick spot. The Colonials will be looking tomorrow for their third all-time win against the Vikings.
 
Scouting the Vikings – So far through the 2023 campaign, CSU is 3-8-3 overall and 0-4-3 in conference play. Tomorrow night they'll be looking for their first conference victory of the season. Offensively, forward Eric Leinweber is the teams leading goal scorer with four goals. Brooke Opferman and Kathryn Ramicone have passed out the most assists on the squad with two each. In goal, Liv Fain has played most of the minutes, starting in 13 games. She's picked up two wins along with making 46 saves. The trio of defenders Rylee Bussen, Lina Feltovich and midfielder Kathryn Ramicone are the only three players on the roster to start and play in all 14 of their games.
 
THE BIG 3
Through 14 games in the regular season, RMU's offense has been one of the most dominant throughout the Horizon League. The team has put in 31 goals on the year which is the second-most in the conference. The Colonials have been led offensively by three players producing in most games. Sophomore Renae Mohrbacher is ranked second in points in the conference with 20 (7g, 6a). Sophomore Malia Kearns owns 17 points (7g, 3a) and graduate forward Lidia Nduka has produced 15 points (7g, 1a).
