  • Previously, at home, the Colonials handed Purdue Fort Wayne their first loss in conference, winning 3-0.
  • The Colonials didn't take long to get to work in front of their home crowd. Two and a half minutes into the game, Chase Gilley flicked a header into space. Sophomore Anass Hadran slipped past the defenders and hammered in a goal.
  • In the 11th minute, RMU struck again. Beating a player down the left wing, Chase Gilley found John Paul Mbuthia outside the box. Showing off his ability to hit from distance, Mbuthia took a crack from distance, launching a shot into the top left corner, beating the keeper short side.
  • During the 16th minute, cutting past a defender, Hadran located Gabe Norris running in from the left side of the box. With traffic in front, Norris used a player to block the goalie's vision as he curled in a low shot into the bottom right corner.

The All-Time Series (Green Bay) – This weekend's game will be the fifth time that both programs play one another. Through the first four meetings, the Colonials have earned two ties and have dropped two results. Last season, the game ended in a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes of play. The other tie happened in the 2020 season, ending 0-0 after 110 minutes of play. Prior to the rule changes in 2022, games ending in a tie after 90 minutes went to sudden-death overtime. RMU will be looking for their first win against Green Bay as they head north to Wisconsin.
