DAYTON, Ohio - The Robert Morris cross country teams participated in the 2023 Horizon League Championships Saturday afternoon. The event was held at Fairborn Community Park.
The men has its highest finish since joining the HL, finishing sixth with 187 points, 12 points behind Green Bay. The Colonials top finisher was
Skyler Vavro, who set an 8k PR with a time of 25:16.8. Two Colonials also tuned in PRs -
Brayden Boyd (26:13.3) and
Sam Gutzwiller (26:24.6).
The women placed 10th with 217 points, which was its best-scoring HL Championship mark in its three races. Of the Colonials' nine runners, six finished the event with 6k PRs -
Julia Dill (22:40.69),
Franny Kabana (22:46.19),
Laura Croco (23:02.37),
Emma Jiancristoforo (23:58.07),
Alyssa Croco (24:14.02) and
Erin LaQuatra (24:31.71).
Up next for both squads is the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional held in Bethlehem, Pa. Nov. 10.
