MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU closes out its nonconference schedule December 22 when it hosts Cornell at the UPMC Events Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. The game will stream on ESPN+ and can be heard on the RMU Gameday App with Chris Shovlin and Jim Elias on the call.
 
RMU LATELY
RMU (4-8, 0-2 HL) had an 18-point 75-73 come-from-behind victory at Saint Francis U December 20. Justice Williams' 3-pointer with 2.0 seconds remaining gave the Colonials the win. RMU has won two straight and is 3-3 at the UPMC Events Center this season.
 
CORNELL LATELY
Cornell (8-2, 0-0 Ivy) has won five of its last six games including a 95-74 victory over Siena December 19. The Big Red lead the Ivy  League lead with 84.9 points per game and are 4-2 on the road this season.
 
RMU AND CORNELL HISTORY
RMU and Cornell first met in consolation semifinal game of the Far West Classic in Portland, Ore. December 28, 1983. The Big Red edged the Colonials 70-68. The teams met again the following season, a 77-66 win for Cornell. After a 34-year hiatus, the teams met in the first round of the CIT in 2019, a 98-89 overtime win for RMU.
