Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU women's track & field team concluded the 2023 #HLTF Indoor Championships Sunday in Fort Wayne, Ind., at Lutheran Health Fieldhouse, finishing seventh with 19 points.
TEAM CHAMPION
Youngstown State won the team championship with 182 points, edging out Milwaukee (178) by four points. Oakland finished third with 99 points, followed by the host Mastodons (77), Northern Kentucky (49), IUPUI (33), RMU (19), Detroit Mercy (15) and Wright State (11).
FINAL EXAMS
A pair of Colonials competed in the finals of events Sunday, with junior
Gracie Parker clocking in at 8.77 seconds to finish fifth in the 60-meter hurdles. She improved on her time in the event from Saturday's preliminaries to cap a stellar indoor season for RMU. Fifth-year
Tara Gologram, meanwhile, finished eighth in the finals of the 60-meter dash at 7.87 seconds.
RELAY RACES
The RMU 4x400-meter relay squad claimed sixth Sunday, crossing the finish line with a time of 4:00.14. Sophomore

Grace Mason and freshman
Ailena Reynolds-Diaz made the up team for the Colonials. Mason, Moore and Reynolds-Diaz were also joined by sophomore
Frances Kabana in the distance medley relay, which finished with a time of 12:54.87.
FIELD HAPPENINGS
In the shot put, senior
Alijah Caul posted RMU's best mark in the event with a toss of 11.90 meters (39'0.50"), while sophomore
Zoee Gologram finished at 10.52 meters (34'6.25"). Junior
Madelyn Resciniti also competed for the Colonials in the shot put, posting a distance of 10.07 meters (33'0.50").
AROUND THE TRACK
Kabana also competed in the mile at the 2023 #HLTF Indoor Championships, finishing with a time of 5:24.66. Freshman
Erin LaQuatra closed in the same event at 5:33.76. In the 3,000-meter, a pair of newcomers got the nod, with
Julia Dill finishing at 11:20.21 and
Samantha Thomas at 11:22.26.
