The All-Time Series (Lindenwood) – Just like last game, RMU will be facing a new opponent for the first time in the ASUN conference. Before entering the ASUN conference for the 2023 season, Lindenwood was a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference at the Division II level. In 2022, the Lions posted a 12-4 record and 5-1 in conference. They finished second in the regular season, but pulled ahead to win the conference championship. In the 2021 season, they also finished second at season's end, and were runners-up in the GLVC championship game.

Scouting the Lions – With two games remaining in the season for both teams, Lindenwood owns a 2-8 overall record this season, and are 1-6 in the ASUN. Their two wins this year came against LIU, winning 9-8, and they beat Queens 15-6. As a team, their program is averaging 9.3 goals-per-game and is giving up 14.6 goals-per-game. They've converted 14 times out of 47 opportunities on the man-advantage (.298). The Lions are successful 73.9% of the time on clear attempts.

Lindenwood's roster features two players that have scored over 20 points in the calendar year. Freshman Wesley Scurci leads the team in goals and points with 19 and 23. Cam Smith is right behind him, with 15 goals and six assists, equaling 21 points. In the face-off circle, the Lion's specialist is #35 Joseph Sarno. He's won 123 face-offs and 61 ground balls. On defense, senior Brian Kallberg has scooped up 36 ground balls, and owns a team-high 18 caused turnovers. Between the pipes, head coach Jim Lange and his staff have mainly played senior goalkeeper Blake Nolan in net. Nolan has made 129 saves this season, owning a .506 save percentage.

START UP PLAY
In order to gain more possession in the offensive end, winning face-offs is crucial to earn more goal-scoring chances. Junior face-off specialist Steven DelleMonache has provided that for the Colonials. During the past two games, DelleMonache has scooped up 27 total ground balls, including a career-high at Queens with 15. He also recorded a career-high 22 wins in the face-off circle at home, against Bellarmine. Against the Knights, the New Jersey native recorded his first assist of the season. According to LacrosseReference, this past week, DelleMonache ranked sixth in the nation in all of Division I, in "Expected Goals Added." His average during two games was 6.04 EGA.

SENIOR DAY
On Saturday, RMU will be honoring these 10 seniors for their contributions: Overall, these ten seniors and graduate students in the past five seasons have won 36 total games, 15 conference wins (no conference play in the 2020 and 2021 seasons), and won the ASUN crown in 2022 and an NEC title back in 2019. The group made it to the NCAA Men's Lacrosse tournament in the 2019 and 2022 seasons.
