Charlie Buscaglia announced the 2023-24 non-conference schedule on Friday, which features a total of nine games, including four contests at the UPMC Events Center.
The Colonials will open their 48th season of NCAA Division I women's basketball with a pair of road games by traveling to Saint Francis on Monday, Nov. 6, before heading to New York, to battle St. Bonaventure at the Reilly Center on Saturday, Nov. 11.
RMU then returns home for its home opener against Akron on Wednesday, Nov. 15, before hitting the road to Fairfax, Va., to take on George Mason on Saturday, Nov. 18. The Colonials will welcome Penn State Beaver to Moon Township on Tuesday, Nov. 21 while heading to Bucknell on Friday, Nov. 24.

"It's always a big focus to set a schedule full of challenges,"
Buscaglia said. "One of which is to compete against great competition, and if you look at the level of conferences we are matching up against, you will see we accomplished that. We match up against a power 5, and a number of top mid-major conferences."
The final road tilt of the non-conference slate for RMU will be at Texas A&M when the Colonials take on the Aggies on Dec. 9 at Reed Arena. RMU wraps up its 2023-24 non-conference schedule with a pair of home contests against College of Charleston (Dec. 16) and Fairmont State (Dec. 18).
"As it took a great deal of effort to complete the non-conference schedule, we are very excited to have it announced for our fanbase," Buscaglia continued. "We are on the road for most of November, and we will need to be ready to handle that kind of stretch. In December, we will be at home for all but one game. However, with that road game being against Texas A&M, we will be matching up with a program that is from historically the toughest conference in women's basketball."
The 2023-24 season officially gets underway Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 7:00 p.m. with Madness at the UPMC Events Center. Fans can be introduced to the Colonials of the men's and women's basketball program with a special event to kickoff the season.
"We are looking for our fans to come out and support us at home and on the road as much as possible. It would mean so much to our team to have a consistent loud environment coming from the seats in all of our games."
Season tickets for the
2023-24 season are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the RMU Ticket Office at (412) 397-4949. General admission seats start at $80 while courtside season tickets are $150, which includes a $50 donation to the general athletics fund, and will guarantee you the same seat for the entire year.
