Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU golf team continued its season by partaking in their third invitational of the year. The Colonials traveled to Nashport, Ohio to compete in the Virtues Intercollegiate in which they finished 13th out of 16 schools. In conclusion, RMU posted a 54-hole score of 883 (+19) to complete the intercollegiate. 
 
TEAM CHAMPION
Michigan finished first at the 2023 Virtues Intercollegiate, finishing 14-under par in the first round and -10 in each of the last two rounds to close at 830 (-34). James Madison and George Washington tied for second in the invite (-11), along with Marshall and Miami (OH) tying for fourth place (-10) to round out the top six schools.

LEADER BOARD
Fifth-year Alex Seelig shot a 70 (-2) in the second round and tied senior Josh Nagy with an overall score of 219 for the two-day stretch. The two Robert Morris veterans were tied with six other competitors for 38th at the Virtues Intercollegiate Invite. Logan Hess moved up 17 spots on the final day of the invite and ended up with a final score of 223. 
 
ON PAR
Nagy had his best moment on Monday as he shot a -2 to help the Colonials get off to a solid start. Nagy, Hess, and Seelig have been the team leaders throughout the first three invitationals as each of them have had top individual rounds the past two days. 
 
ROUNDING IT OUT
Sophomore Peyton Iverson had a great start to the invite shooting a -2 and eventually finished the invitational with a +8. Freshman Tanner Caldwell rounded out the Colonial group by having his best shots during the first round with a +2, and closing out the intercollegiate with a +13.
 
UP NEXT
RMU goes on the road to Westlake, Ohio, to participate in the Tom Tontimonia Invitational, which is hosted by Cleveland State Monday, Oct. 2, and Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Lakewood Country Club.
