Opening Kick-Off
- The Robert Morris women's soccer team heads back out on the road to face Mount St. Mary's in another non-conference matinee, on September 6 at 11:00 a.m.
- For tomorrow's game, the time for kick-off has been changed to 11:00 a.m.
- Opening the 2023 season on a four-game road trip, the Colonials beat four different opponents. They took down VMI 3-0, Hampton 1-0, Akron 3-0 and Saint Francis 4-1.
- The Colonials returned to the NAC for the home opener, beating Indiana State, 2-1.
- Last time out, RMU tied St. Bonaventure, 2-2. Renae Mohrbacher took off in the second half, scoring a brace in under three minutes.
- Lidia Nduka has produced the most goals for the team with six. Mohrbacher is right behind her in points with four goals and three helpers.
- Sophomore Malia Kearns also has three assists. Her teammates Taylor Day, Haleigh Finale and Kaoru Hayashi have all scored one goal with two assists each.
- Head coach Chris Shaw enters his fourth year as the bench boss for the Colonials. Assistant coach Brianna Murgi is back for her second season and goalkeeper coach Erik Eisenhut is in his fifth year with the team.

The All-Time Series (Mount St. Mary's) – The Colonials have faced The Mount 31 times since the program started. They have played each other almost every year since 1992. Overall, RMU owns a 14-13-4 record against the opposing program. Most recently, the team's played last year, ending the game in a 1-1 tie. Sophomore
Elisa Corvalan scored her first career goal in that game, as the Colonials outshot 15-8. In 2021,
Kaoru Hayashi put together a three-point performance as she scored one goal and added one assist in a 2-1 victory over The Mount. She assisted
Emily Rocco, scoring her first career goal, back in that season. As of late, RMU since 2014 is 6-1-1 against Mount St. Mary's. From 2007 to 2011, the Colonials went on a five-game win streak.

Scouting The Mount – Through five games this season, Mount St. Mary's is 1-3-1 overall. They dropped results to Lafayette 0-1, Towson 0-3 and Radford 0-2, and earned a 0-0 draw to begin the season at NJIT. In their last game against Hampton, Mount St. Mary's won 2-1, earning their first victory of the season. Taylor Carter scored their first goal of the season. Luisangely Navas provided the game-winner in the 59
th minute, with an assist by Erin Antone.

In 2022, they finished their season with a 3-6-7 overall record, and were 2-5-3 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The team's point leader Kalli Bell, graduated after last season, producing two goals and five assists. Junior Luisangely Navas returns for her junior season. She scored the most girls for her team last year with three. She owns the only assist so far in the 2023 campaign. In goal, Arden Lembryk is now a senior after splitting time in net last season with Drew Camp. Lembryk started and played in seven games as a junior, making 33 saves and winning one game.

Through each of the first three weeks of the regular season, a women's soccer player has been named a Player of the Week by the Horizon League. In Week 1, goalkeeper
Brenna Murray was named Defensive Player of the Week for posting two clean sheets, making 10 saves and earning 10 wins. In Week 2, graduate forward
Lidia Nduka was tabbed Offensive Player of the Week as she scored three goals in two games. And, announced today, sophomore forward Ranae Mohrbacher produced three goals in two games as well, being awarded Offensive Player of the Week.

GOALS GALORE
The 2023 RMU women's soccer team has put together 15 goals in the first six games of the season. This is the third-most goals the Colonials have scored through their first six matches in program history. The record is in 2022 when RMU put in 18 goals in the first six games, and they put in 17 back in 1999. RMU's 2022 squad had 13 different players involved in their 18 goals. This year's team has had 11 players produced so far on their 15 scores.
