The All-Time Series (Le Moyne) – Friday's contest will be their first time in history these two programs play one another. The Dolphins were previously competing at the Division II level in the Northeast 10 conference. Le Moyne made the move up to Division 1 this year, becoming a member of the NEC.
Â
Scouting the Dolphins – In Le Moyne's last year in Division II, the program finished with an overall record of 5-8-3. Through the conference schedule, the Dolphins ended with a 3-7-2 record. The team's leading goal scorer graduated, but the team brings back two sophomores that stood out in their freshman campaigns. Avery Maxam scored three goals and one assist, and her teammate Lindsey LeBlanc produced one goal and three assists. Defensively, Katelyn Courcy and Brooke Wilson played almost every minute, as they finished the season with around 1,400 minutes played. Playing at holding mid, Marissa Lisikatos comes back for her fifth-year season after eclipsing 1,400 minutes in 2022. And, in goal, Allison Moreau started and played every minute last year. In 16 games, Moreau made 81 saves, earned five clean sheets and picked up five wins.
Â
Through their first five games of 2023, the Dolphins are 1-3-1. They lost to Maine 5-0, Iona 1-0 and Binghamton 3-0. Their one tie was last week against Rhode Island, 1-1, and the program's lone win was at Niagara, winning 3-2. Six different Le Moyne players have produced a point in 2023. Jenicah Brown right now is the team leader in production, with one goal and one assist. Goalkeeper Allison Moreau has already made 31 saves on the season.
Â
NON-CONFERENCE COMING TO A CLOSE
RMU's non-conference schedule will mainly be wrapped up after today's game, excluding one more non-conference game later in the month at Highmark Stadium, against the NAIA Carlow Celtics, on Wednesday September 27 at 6:00 p.m. The Colonials finished undefeated in the non-conference portion of their season in 2022, posting a 6-0-2 record. With another good result at Le Moyne and Carlow, RMU will be undefeated once again in non-conference competitions.
Â
3-FOR-3
Through each of the first three weeks of the regular season, a women's soccer player has been named a Player of the Week by the Horizon League. In Week 1, goalkeeper
