POTSDAM, N.Y. – The RMU women's hockey team was shut out by #3/5 Clarkson, falling 4-0 in the series opener at Cheel Arena. The loss brings the Colonials to 3-2-0 for the 2024-25 season.
FIRST PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
- Neither team managed to score in the first period, with Clarkson holding a 14-1 advantage in shots on goal.
SECOND PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
- With just under four minutes left in the second period, Clarkson's Baylee Kirwan scored the first goal of the game at even strength.
- Both teams had one power-play opportunity in the period but failed to convert.
- Clarkson continued to control the pace, outshooting RMU 13-2.
THIRD PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
- RMU's offense gained some momentum in the final period, recording eight shots on goal.
- However, Clarkson capitalized on their chances, scoring three more goals over an eight-minute span, including one on the power-play.
- RMU went 0-1 on their only power-play chance in the third period.

Clarkson outshot RMU 38-11. The Colonials were 0-2 on the power-play, while Clarkson converted one of their two opportunities. Defensively, RMU tallied 15 blocks, with

Veronica Bac led the team offensively with two shots on goal, and Bac and

Senior forward
Madison Primeau played in her 100th career game. Throughout her collegiate career, Primeau has recorded 28 goals, 16 assists, and 44 points.
