MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU volleyball team home conference slate when they welcome Cleveland State to the UPMC Events Center. The first match is scheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m. and can be seen streaming live on ESPN+.
RMU LATELY
RMU goes into this weekend series after splitting two matches last week against Northern Kentucky. The Colonials won the final match of the series by sweeping the Norse in straight sets.
Hillarie Adams and
Natalie Stepanovich each led RMU with 12 kills while
Ally Christman and
Ashleigh Wallin each had a team-high three aces.
Azra Eric continues to lead the Horizon League in blocks as she's accumulated 91 blocks in 77 sets played while averaging 1.18 blocks per set.
SCOUTING CLEVELAND STATE
The Vikings go into this weekend with a 14-6 overall record and a 5-4 mark in Horizon League action. This matchup between Cleveland State and RMU will feature two of the best blocking programs in the conference as the Vikings lead the league with 170 total blocks with the Colonials right behind them with 167.5 blocks. Liberty Torres leads the Vikings with 283 kills in 74 sets while averaging 3.82 kills per set.
ALL-TIME VS VIKINGS
The Colonials haven't had much overall success against the Norse but did split the season series with Cleveland State last season. In RMU's last win,
Natalie Stepanovich had a team-high 15 kills along with 24 digs.
