RMU LATELY
RMU, winners of four straight contests, is coming off three wins in the Urban-Bennett Invitational MTE Hosted by P3R defeating Stonehill, Lindenwood and New Orleans all by double-figures. The Colonials defense is
second in the Horizon League, surrendering only 67.4 points per game.
CORNELL LATELY
Cornell used a 48-point 2
nd half to defeat Lafayette 81-71 on November 16. The Big Red lead the Ivy League in scoring, averaging 84.8 points per game as well as rebounding at 40.0 per contest. Cornell has three players averaging in double-figures led by Jake Fiegen with 14.0 points per game. Guy Ragland, Jr. is third in the Ivy League with 8.8 rebounds per game.
RMU AND CORNELL HISTORY
RMU and Cornell first met in the consolation semifinal game of the Far West Classic in Portland, Ore. December 28, 1983. The Big Red edged the Colonials 70-68. The teams met again the following season, a 77-66 win for Cornell. After a 34-year hiatus, the teams met in the first round of the CIT in 2019, a 98-89 overtime win for RMU. The series resumed last season.
