UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The RMU women's hockey team was shut out in the series finale against No. 12 Penn State, falling 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at Pegula Ice Arena. With the loss, the Colonials drop to 5-10-1 overall and 0-5-1 in conference play.
FIRST PERIOD
- Penn State opened the scoring less than seven minutes into the game, taking an early 1-0 lead.
- RMU generated five shots across two power play opportunities but was unable to find the equalizer.
SECOND PERIOD
- The Nittany Lions extended their lead to 2-0 with a power play goal in the middle frame.
THIRD PERIOD
- Penn State added an insurance goal midway through the final period to make it 3-0.
- The Nittany Lions sealed the victory with an empty-net goal in the final minute of play.

- Penn State outshot RMU, 49-24, and held a 40-25 edge in faceoffs.
- Jersey Phillips led RMU with nine faceoff wins, while Catriona Crarer won 50% of her draws (7-14).
