Bernard Clark, Jr. and the RMU football team announced its latest recruiting class Wednesday in a signing day showcase held at Caroline's inside the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh Airport.

"We are excited about the Class of 2024," said Clark. "We wanted to bring in the right guys to do the right job. Each young man we signed is a good person. Right now we have a real strong lockerroom and these new guys will add to it. That's the great thing about the opportunity these men have."

Of the 30 new Colonials, 11 play on the offensive side of the ball while 19Â are on defense. Included among the recruits on offense are three quarterbacks, a pair of running backs, two receivers, a tight end, and three offensive linemen. On defense, RMU welcomes five cornerbacks, four defensive ends, four defensive linemen, four linebackers and two safeties.

On November 28, 2023 RMU announced it has accepted an invitation from the NEC Council of Presidents to rejoin the conference as a football associate member. The Colonials will be immediately eligible to secure the league's automatic bid to the NCAA FCS Playoffs.

The 2024 season will mark RMU's 25th in the NEC.
