MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU for their last regular season series at home will welcome Penn State. The first game of the series is scheduled for Friday, February 9 at 7:00 PM. The series finale is Senior Day and is planned the following day at 5:00 PM. Both games will be streamed on FloHockey. On the broadcast will be Gero von Dehn (pxp) and Bob Kennedy (analyst).
RMU LATELY
RMU (11-17-0, 8-8-0 #CHA) this past weekend split their series at RIT. They won the first game, 3-2 in overtime but fell the next day by the same score in overtime. Graduate defensemen

Janelle Evans each all dished out two assists. Puddifant and Evans are both tied fifth in the conference in assists (15). From Calgary, Alberta, Puddifant also officially reached 50 career assists. In Friday night's victory,
Jersey Phillips played in her 100

THE DAILY DOUBLE
Freshman
Alaina Giampietro scored four of RMU's five goals over the weekend at RIT. She scored twice on Friday and twice on Saturday, including the game-winning goal in OT, Friday night. She was awarded CHA Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season. From Strongsville, Ohio, she's tied second in goals (15) and tied eighth in points (24). She ranks second in both of those categories among all NCAA rookies. She's posted seven multipoint efforts this season.

Across 40 games, RMU is 23-10-7 all-time against Penn State. In the series, the Colonials are averaging 3.18 goals-per-game. Eight of the 40 games have gone to overtime and RMU has earned five shutouts in the process. Starting back in 2012, RMU won the first eight games against the Nittany Lions. RMU AND PENN STATE COMMON OPPONENTS
Besides conference members of the CHA, both programs in the 2023-24 campaign have faced Union. The Nittany Lions lost their first contest hosting Union, 2-1 in overtime. The following day they won 6-2. RMU fell in their season opener at Union, 5-2, but took down the Garnet Chargers the next day, 3-2 to win their first game of the season.
UP NEXT
After completing their final home stand, the Colonials will travel south to St. Charles, Mo. for one last regular season series in the 2023-24 campaign. The two-game set is scheduled for February 16-17.
