MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU men's lacrosse team opens its ASUN schedule when it faces Jacksonville on Saturday afternoon at Rock Stadium. Opening faceoff is at 2 p.m. and the match will stream on ESPN+.
RMU LATELY
RMU (1-4) is coming off a 16-7 loss at No. 5 Virginia on March 5. The Colonials have been off for 11 days heading into Saturday's match.
Elliot Holden leads all Colonials with 19 points (11g, 8a).
David Burr also has tallied 11 goals.
JACKSONVILLE LATELY
Jacksonville (3-3) has won its last two matches – 24-7 against St. John's and 10-9 against High Point. Nicky Brown and Jack Taylor lead the Dolphins with 13 points each.
RMU AND JACKSONVILLE HISTORY
The teams have met nine times, with RMU winning six – including the first four matches of the series that began in 2010. The Colonials hold a 2-1 edge in matches played in Jacksonville, 3-1 at Joe Walton Stadium and 1-1 in neutral site matches.
RMU AND JACKSONVILLE LAST TIME OUT
Despite Jacksonville scoring three goals in the final four minutes, RMU was able to hold off the Dolphins 9-8 in the first round of the ASUN Championship at Joe Walton Stadium.
COMMON OPPONENTS
The teams do not have any common opponents outside of the ASUN. Jacksonville fell to No. 13 Michigan 13-10 on February 27 and RMU squared off against the Wolverines in an exhibition match.
