MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU graduate student
Markeese Hastings has been named to the 2023-24 All-Horizon League Third Team, the league announced today.
Hastings finished the regular season second in the HL with 7.8 rebounds per game, fourth with a 52.4 FG percentage and 13
th in scoring with 14.5 points per game. He recorded nine double-doubles and set a career-high with 31 points, which included breaking a school record when he was a perfect 17-17 from the foul line against Detroit Mercy.
"We are thrilled that the coaches of the Horizon League respected the season Markeese had by giving him the honor of an all-conference selection," said Pat Gallagher Head Coach
Andrew Toole. "Markeese has been a great addition to our program. In addition to being a great rebounder, he exceeded our expectations as a shooter and scorer. We are all proud of him and I know he is extremely grateful to be selected."
Up next, the Colonials will face Purdue Fort Wayne at the Gates Sports Center on Tuesday, March 5 in the First Round of the 2024 Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championship.
