MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU men's lacrosse team will face No. 5 Virginia on Tuesday afternoon in Charlottesville, Va. Opening faceoff is at 4 p.m. and the match will stream on ACCNX with Nick Klos and Doug Tarring on the call.
RMU LATELY
RMU (1-3) is coming off a 15-10 setback at Hobart.
Elliot Holden finished with match with four goals and four ground balls while
Ben Starkey added three goals.
VIRGINIA LATELY
Virginia (3-1) suffered its first loss of the season on March 2 when they fell to No. 7 Johns Hopkins in the battle of the Doyle Smith Cup. Connor Shellenberger leads UVA with 20 points.
RMU AND VIRGINIA HISTORY
Tuesday marks the fifth meeting between the Colonials and Cavaliers. The teams first met in 2010 and have played in 2017, 2019 (NCAA First Round) and 2021. UVA has won all four contests.
RMU AND VIRGINIA LAST TIME OUT
RMU battled No. 9 Virginia for 60 minutes, but the Cavaliers prevailed 14-12 at Klӧckner Stadium on March 20, 2021.

RMU midfielder
Elliot Holden was named ASUN Player of the Week on February 27. The graduate assistant finished last week with seven goals on 16 shots, five assists, four ground balls and 12 points.
