MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU men's soccer team opens Horizon League play this Saturday, September 14, when they host Northern Kentucky University (NKU) at 2:00 PM at the North Athletic Complex.

The Colonials hold a 3-2 advantage in the all-time series against NKU, having won the last three matchups by a combined score of 5-2. In their last meeting, RMU edged out a 2-1 victory with a last-minute penalty kick converted by

SCOUTING THE NORSE
NKU (1-2-2, 0-0-0 #HLMSOC) is coming off their first win of the season, a 3-0 victory over Western Illinois. Senior midfielder Tyler Murphy leads the team with two goals, and a total of nine players have registered points through their first five games. Junior goalkeeper Nic Lemen has played every minute of the season so far, recording 16 saves, one win, and two clean sheets. Last season, the Norse finished 4-10-3 overall, with a 3-6 mark in conference play, missing the Horizon League playoffs.
HORIZON LEAGUE HISTORY
Since joining the Horizon League in 2020, the Colonials have posted a 12-18-6 record in conference play. Under first-year head coach
Jonathan Potter, RMU secured conference wins against NKU, Purdue Fort Wayne, and Cleveland State in the 2023 season.
