VERONA, N.Y. – The RMU men's golf team began the 2024 season by finishing sixth at the Red Bandanna Invitational at the Turning Stone Resort.
In the field of 63, freshmen
Ben Sheridan (74-75-74 +7) and
Joey Garofalo (77-78-72 +11) finished 13
th and 18
th, respectively.
Chuck Tragesser (78-72-80 +14) shot even in the 2
nd round while Garofalo was even in the 3
rd round.
The highlight of the event was a hole in one by Garofalo. He aced Hole 15, with a 7 iron, 177 yards in the third round.
Up next, RMU plays in the Colonel Shootout hosted by Eastern Kentucky. The event will be held at the University Club at Arlington in Richmond, Ky. Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8.
