MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – After a career-high 10 tackles, including eight solo stops and a pair of QB hurries at Eastern Kentucky, linebacker
Keon Freeman was named the NEC Defensive Player of the Week. The Youngstown State transfer currently is fourth in the conference with 37 tackles.
This is Freeman's first NEC Defensive Player of the Week honor, and the second for the Colonials this season as
Tyris Harvey earned the award in Week 1.
Additionally, wide receiver
Noah Robinson was named an NEC Prime Performer. He had nine receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown at EKU.
RMU (2-3, 1-0 NEC) is off this week and returns to Joe Walton Stadium on October 12 to face Delaware State.
