MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Robert Morris fell to Youngstown State on Tuesday evening 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-20) at the UPMC Events Center.

Natalie Stepanovich, who paced the Colonials with a team-high 13 kills.
Tia Schultz also reached double-digit kills, with 11 kills and career-best .348 hitting percentage.
Kaitlyn Brown finished the match with 31 assists.
Jasmine Purakal anchored the back row, recording a team-best 21 digs.
Set 1: Youngstown State 25, Robert Morris 14
Youngstown State jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead to start the set. They maintained control, extending their advantage to a double-digit lead at 18-8 before finishing with a 25-14 victory in the set.
Set 2: Youngstown State 25, Robert Morris 21
Robert Morris opened the second set strong, taking an early 4-1 lead, which later narrowed to 7-5. YSU quickly responded with a four-point run to take a 9-7 lead. The set saw four ties – the last coming at 13-13 before YSU pulled ahead at 17-14 and secured the 25-21 win.
Set 3: Youngstown State 25, Robert Morris 20
The set was tightly contested early, with RMU briefly leading 5-4 before a run of four straight Penguins kills put YSU up 8-5, which they extended to 13-9. RMU fought back to tie the match at 13-13 with three kills – two by Schultz and one from Jourdan - and an ace from Eriç. The score would be tied two more times. Ultimately, YSU prevailed 25-20 after RMU successfully fought off one set point.
RMU remains at the UPMC Events Center for a series against Wright State on Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1.
