PITTSBURGH - The RMU rowing team opened its season on Saturday morning at the annual Head of the Ohio Regatta. The Open 8+ boat won silver and the Novice 4+ took bronze.
 
The Open 8+ crossed in 14:37.487 and was second in a field of 15, coming in 20.518 seconds behind Duquesne and ahead of four West Virginia crews as well as teams from Penn State and Ohio State.
 
The Novice 4+ finished in 16:52.031 behind a pair of WVU crews and ahead of teams from Penn State, and Pitt.
 
Up next, RMU hosts the Yinzer Cup on October 11.
