MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Robert Morris redshirt freshman
Jaqai Carter has been named the NEC/Atlantic Tomorrow's Office Rookie of the Week, the conference announced today.
Carter, who entered Saturday's game with 163 receiving yards on the year, pulled in seven receptions for 141 yards, including a 7-yard touchdown score. The 141 receiving yards ties Saint Francis' DJ Maultsby for the most by an NEC rookie in a game this season.
The freshman is the first Colonial to win the NEC Rookie of the Week award since the Colonials returned to the conference last season. Prior to that, Garrett Houser took home the award on November 25, 2019.
RMU wraps up the road portion of the schedule at Mercyhurst on November 15. The regular season finale is November 22 at home against Duquesne.
