RMU Men’s Basketball Travels to St. Bonaventure

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - For the first time in 17 years, Robert Morris will face St. Bonaventure  on Thursday evening, November 20. The Colonials and Bonnies will tipoff at the Reilly Center at 6 p.m.
 
RMU LATELY
Robert Morris is 3-1 overall. The Colonials opened their season on the road, falling at Iowa (101-69) before an 81-79 overtime victory at Drake, snapping the Bulldogs 49-game non-conference home winning streak. RMU then opened its home slate with a pair of dominant victories over Geneva 93-47 and Pitt-Greensburg 81-57.
 
ST. BONAVENTURE LATELY            
St. Bonaventure has a strong start to the season, going a perfect 4-0. The Bonnies have wins over Bradley, Canisius, Siena, and Youngstown State. Darryl Simmons II is second in the Atlantic 10 Conference averaging 19.2 points per game.
 
RMU AND ST. BONAVENTURE HISTORY      
This three-game series between the Robert Morris and the St. Bonaventure with all three contests uniquely serving as the season opener in 2003, 2005, and 2008. St. Bonaventure had defended its home court, winning all three matchups,
 
RMU AND ST. BONAVENTURE LAST TIME OUT         
RMU was able to trim a 19-point deficit into a 2-possession game, on Jeremy Chappell's three-pointer from with 1:09 to play, but St. Bonaventure finished 6-for-8 from the line in the final minute to seal a 72-62 win at the Reilly Center on November 15, 2008.
 
FAMILIAR FACE
St. Bonaventure head coach Mark Schmidt led the Colonials for six seasons, from 2001 until 2007.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Colonials remain the road at Monmouth on Sunday, November 23. They return to the UPMC Events Center on Wednesday, November 26 against UIC.
