MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The RMU Men's Basketball opens its 50
th NCAA Division I season on Tuesday night at Iowa. Tipoff is at 8:30 p.m. (ET). The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.

The defending Horizon League champions have three returners and 12 new players on this season's team that was selected to finish fourth in the conference.
Ryan Prather Jr. is the team's leading returning scorer with 8.3 points per game. The Colonials have three true freshmen in
Samuel Obenjo,
Darius Livingston, and

ABOUT IOWA
Iowa enters the season receiving votes in both major preseason polls (37th AP, 39th Coaches') under first-year head coach Ben McCollum. McCollum brought six players with him from Drake to form the core of Iowa's 12 newcomers. The Hawkeyes' transfer portal class was ranked eighth nationally by 247Sports. Bennett Stirtz, a transfer from Drake, has been widely recognized as a preseason All-American by multiple outlets (including CBS Sports and Field of 68) and is also featured on the NABC Division I National Player of the Year Watch List.
RMU AND IOWA HISTORY
In its one and only game, Iowa was a 73-51 winner at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Dec. 22, 2005.
RMU AND IOWA LAST TIME OUT
RMU and Iowa were deadlocked at 10-0 in the first six minutes of the contest before a 31-12 run gave the Hawkeyes a 41-22 lead heading into halftime. Their lead would get as large at 24 points in the 73-51 win.
HELLO OLD FRIEND
RMU will be playing against former Colonial
Alvaro Folgueiras. The 2025 Horizon League Player of the Year transferred to Iowa in the offseason. In his two seasons in Moon Township, he averaged 9.9 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per contest. Folgueiras was named to the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year preseason watch lists.
WHAT'S NEXT
RMU remains on the road to face Drake on November 6. The Colonials open up their season at the UPMC Events Center on November 10 against Geneva.
