Toledo's Leroy Blyden Jr.'s three-pointer with five seconds remaining did not fall after Oakland's Ziare Wells hit a runner to give the Golden Grizzlies a lead with 11 seconds left in OU's 98-97 victory on December 6. Blyden finished the contest with 20 points for the Rockets.

The series between RMU and Toledo began on March 17, 2012, with a victory for RMU in the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT) Second Round. Since then, Toledo has won three of the four subsequent games through the most recent meeting in 2019.
