Last Second Tip Leads Milwaukee Over RMU Men’s Basketball 74-72

MILWAUKEE  – Seth Hubbard's tip in with 0.2 seconds remaining in regulation was the game-winner in Milwaukee's 74-72 victory over Robert Morris on Saturday night. DeSean Goode led all players with a career-high 26 points for the Colonials (7-4, 1-1 HL). Hubbard finished with 21 points for the Panthers (4-5, 1-0 HL).
 
 
1st HALF
Robert Morris opened the game by scoring the first five points. Milwaukee answered with the next seven points. RMU followed with the next eight points, taking a 13-7 lead out of the first media timeout. The game saw seven ties and three lead changes. The Colonials finished the half on a 13-0 run to take a 41-34 lead into halftime.
 
 
2nd HALF
The Colonials began the second half by extending their lead when Ta'Zir Smith scored five straight points, giving RMU a 12-point advantage at 16:19 (51-39). However, Milwaukee answered with a dominant stretch, scoring the next 11 points as part of a 15-3 run that tied the game at 54-54 near the midway point of the half. The Panthers then took the lead at 58-56 on a Danilo Jovanovic basket at 9:16 and built their lead to seven points (65-58) with 6:50 remaining.
 
RMU battled back, closing the gap to a single point with 1:12 left following a Goode dunk. Both teams missed their next shots. In the final seconds, Isaiah Dorceus was fouled with 20 seconds left and made one of two free throws. Goode followed with a layup with nine seconds on the clock to tie the game. With three seconds left, Dorceus missed a 3-pointer, but Hubbard tipped in the rebound with 0.2 seconds remaining to secure the winning basket for the Panthers.
