MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – After leading RMU to a pair of victories over Green Bay and Milwaukee, propelling the Colonials into first place in the Horizon League, Kam Woods has been named the Under Armour Horizon League Player of the Week.
 
Woods averaged 18.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 10.0 assists per game over the two contests, posting an assist-to-turnover ratio of 6.7 while shooting 50% (14-of-28) from the field.
 
Against Green Bay, Woods recorded a double-double with 22 points (9-of-14 FG) and 10 rebounds, adding nine assists in the win over the Phoenix. He followed that performance with another double-double, tallying 15 points, a career-high 11 assists, and eight rebounds in the victory over Milwaukee.
 
The Colonials (22-8, 14-5 HLMBB) will conclude the regular season on Thursday, February 27, at IU Indy (9-20, 5-13). RMU will host a quarterfinal matchup in the 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship on March 6.
 
Woods, earning his first Horizon League Player of the Week honor, becomes the second RMU player to receive the award this season, joining Alvaro Folgueiras, who was recognized on December 31, February 10, and February 17.
