BUFFALO - The RMU rowing team continues its spring season on Sunday morning with a race against Canisius and Mercyhurst at Amherst Veterans Canal Park.
Â
The Colonials raced three boats, the Varsity 8+, the 2
nd Varsity 8+ and the Novice 4+. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Â
"It was a valuable day of racing," said head coach
Robert Weber. "Our 1V showed a lot grit in holding the margin to Canisius and fending off Mercyhurst, our 2V rowed together for the first time in a week and showed improvement, and the Novice 4+ races the first 2000m race of their careers, which got us a step closer to being eligible for the MAAC Championships next month. We're getting better as a team in many respects, but also have a lot to work on."
