MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Sophomore defenseman Emma Goding is spending her summer in Sweden, where she's honing her skills at the highly regarded Olympic Offensive Camp in Enköping. Hosted by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association from May 27 to June 1, the camp was an essential part of Sweden's national team development pipeline.

The annual event brought together some of Sweden's most promising female hockey players born between 2004 and 2009, focusing on refining offensive skills while fostering creativity and hockey sense. The camp structure featured individualized training sessions - separated for defensemen and forwards - to maximize player development in preparation for future Olympic competition. Participants also competed in two intersquad games, providing an opportunity to apply their skills in a game environment and showcase their progress.

"My time at the camp was incredible," Emma shared. "Being part of the Olympic Offensive Camp in Enköping was not only intense but also super inspiring. The best part about being back in Sweden and training with these athletes is the energy and drive everyone brings. You really feel the hunger and passion on the ice - it pushes you to be better every single shift. It's a special environment where everyone's working toward the same goal, and that makes all the difference."

In addition to the on-ice work, players engaged in off-ice, strength and conditioning while receiving individualized feedback from coaches with extensive national team experience. The camp also served as an important evaluation opportunity for the Swedish national team staff as they look to identify future international talent.

Head Coach Logan Bittle emphasized the significance of Emma's participation:
"Emma's dedication to developing her game at the highest level is a testament to her commitment to excellence. Her experience at the Olympic Offensive Camp not only benefits her individually but also enhances our entire defensive group at RMU. We're excited to see how she continues to grow and apply what she's learning when she returns to Bobby Mo."

Emma's time in Sweden this summer perfectly illustrates the RMU Women's Hockey program's commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes who are eager to embrace new challenges and grow their game. Her participation in this elite environment shows how RMU continues to foster leaders who are prepared to make an impact both on the ice and beyond.
