Two RMU Women’s Hockey Colonials Earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® At-Large Honors

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU Women's Hockey proudly announces that two distinguished Colonials – goaltender Maggie Hatch and forward Jersey Phillips – have been named to the prestigious College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team.
 
The CSC Academic All-District® program highlights student-athletes who represent the pinnacle of academic and athletic achievement across NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA III, and NAIA. To be eligible, student-athletes must meet rigorous academic standards in addition to significant on-field performance criteria.
 
Maggie Hatch (Sophomore / Cleveland Heights, Ohio)
The Colonials' starting netminder, Hatch concluded the past school year with an outstanding 3.99 GPA, majoring in Biology. This past season, Hatch was twice named the AHA Goaltender of the Week and, for the second consecutive time, was listed to the Hockey Commissioner's Association's Goalie of the Year Watch List. She appeared in 26 games for RMU, registering 839 saves, an impressive .910 save percentage, seven wins, and two shutouts. In her career, Hatch has played in 50 games, accumulating 1,628 saves, a .916 save percentage, 16 wins, and three shutouts.
 
Jersey Phillips (Graduate / Cheektowaga, N.Y.)
An alternate captain and a veteran presence for the Colonials, Phillips finished the 2024-25 season with a perfect 4.00 GPA, earning her degree in Cyber Investigations & Intelligence. This marks her second straight year being named Academic All-District. Jersey also earned the Female GPA Award at the 2025 Colonial Choice Awards and is a remarkable four-time member of the AHA All-Academic Team, showcasing consistent academic excellence throughout her career. In 2024-25, she played in 33 games, scoring five goals and five assists. Overall, in her career, she appeared in 140 games, scoring 12 goals, 18 assists for 30 points, along with 57 blocks and 455 faceoff wins.
 
Phillips has further advanced to the prestigious CSC Academic All-America® ballot. CSC members will now vote for the national teams, with First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America® honorees set to be announced on Tuesday, July 8.
