Cody Monds Embarks on Pro Career with Hijs Hokij Den Haag in the Netherlands

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – After an impactful collegiate career that culminated with a significant season at RMU, forward Cody Monds is set to begin his professional journey, having signed a contract with Hijs Hokij Den Haag of the Central European Hockey League (CEHL) in The Netherlands.
 
The move marks an exciting new chapter for the Brockville, Ontario native, transitioning from the North American collegiate ranks to European professional hockey.
 
Monds, known for his offensive prowess and playmaking ability, joined the Colonials for the 2024-25 season after previously playing at Clarkson and Providence. During his time at RMU, Monds appeared in 33 games, scoring three goals, five assists and eight points.
 
Under the leadership of Head Coach Derek Schooley since 2004, the program has developed more than 90 student-athletes to play professionally.
