MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Beginning this week rmucolonials.com will preview each of RMU Football's 2025 opponents for the upcoming year, with today featuring the season opener at West Virginia on August 30.
 
This game will mark the first time the two teams have met. It is also RMU's first opponent out of the Big 12 Conference. The Mountaineers are the Colonials' sixth FBS opponent (Air Force, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Miami (OH) and Utah State.
 
Although this is RMU's first matchup with WVU, head coach Bernard Clark Jr. has gone up against the Mountaineers twice. In 2006, Clark was the defensive line coach for South Florida in the Bulls' 24-19 victory in Morgantown. In 2010, he was the linebackers coach for Pitt in the Mountaineers' 35-10 win at Heinz Field.
